The Ruler

During a morning game drive in Namiri Plains, dark clouds gathered over Punda Kopjes as the light began to fade. Rain soon swept across the granite outcrops, where a male lion lay asleep on one of the highest rocks.

Lions rarely remain inactive for long once the weather changes. As the rain eased, he slowly raised his head and looked across the plains, instinctively checking the landscape around him before briefly turning in our direction.

The moment lasted only a few seconds. The rain, the dramatic sky and the lion’s quiet awareness came together just long enough to reveal the image before the storm closed in once again.

Each print is personally reviewed and approved by me before release.
All prints are issued in strictly limited editions (from 5 to 15) and are signed and numbered.
Once an edition is sold out, it is never reprinted.
Each photograph is offered in different sizes depending on the work.
Each print is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
