Between Generations

Late one afternoon in the Amboseli ecosystem, a family of elephants emerged from the open plains before making its way towards the woodlands beyond the park. At the centre of the group was a calf only a few weeks old, closely guarded by its mother.

As the family became aware of our presence from a respectful distance, the adults instinctively tightened their formation, surrounding the calf in a protective circle. It is one of the most remarkable behaviours observed in elephant society, where every member of the herd shares responsibility for the youngest generation.

Only once they were satisfied there was no threat did the circle slowly open. The family reformed into a line and continued its journey towards the forest, carrying with it one of the oldest traditions of the African wilderness: protecting the next generation.

All works are produced as archival pigment prints to museum standards.
Each print is personally reviewed and approved by me before release.
All prints are issued in strictly limited editions (from 5 to 15) and are signed and numbered.
Once an edition is sold out, it is never reprinted.
Each photograph is offered in different sizes depending on the work.
Each print is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
The works presented in the shop are a curated selection.
