Guardian of the Grasslands

Early one afternoon in Solio Game Reserve, a solitary male white rhinoceros emerged from the open plains and slowly began walking in our direction. Photographed from ground level, every step seemed deliberate, revealing the calm confidence of an animal with few natural predators and little reason to hurry.

Today, Solio protects one of the most important populations of white rhinoceroses in Africa. Within its grasslands, these animals are able to behave much as they have for thousands of years, moving freely across an open landscape that has become a model for rhino conservation.

There is nothing dramatic about the scene. A rhinoceros walking across the plains is an everyday sight in Solio. That quiet normality is precisely what makes this place so extraordinary.

Limited Edition Standards

All works are produced as archival pigment prints to museum standards.
Each print is personally reviewed and approved by me before release.
All prints are issued in strictly limited editions (from 5 to 15) and are signed and numbered.
Once an edition is sold out, it is never reprinted.
Each photograph is offered in different sizes depending on the work.
Each print is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
The works presented in the shop are a curated selection.
