Giza Mrembo

This photograph began long before I ever set foot in Africa. The journey had been planned more than a year in advance, but only a few months before departure Giza had seemingly disappeared.

There were no sightings, no updates, no photographs—only silence.

As the safari began, the uncertainty remained. Three consecutive game drives passed without a trace. Then, on the fourth, she finally appeared. Effortlessly elegant, elusive yet never shy, she moved with the quiet confidence of an animal completely at home in her world.

Giza Mrembo—Beautiful Darkness in Swahili—is my tribute to one of the most extraordinary leopards I have ever had the privilege to encounter.

Limited Edition Standards

All works are produced as archival pigment prints to museum standards.
Each print is personally reviewed and approved by me before release.
All prints are issued in strictly limited editions (from 5 to 15) and are signed and numbered.
Once an edition is sold out, it is never reprinted.
Each photograph is offered in different sizes depending on the work.
Each print is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
The works presented in the shop are a curated selection.
